Faqs

How do you handle travel arrangements for weddings?

I manage all my own travel arrangements whether it’s Flights, Hotels or planning car journeys.

How far in advance should we book you for a wedding?

It’s best to book as early as possible—ideally 9-12 months in advance. This gives plenty of time to plan logistics, ensure availability, and organise travel arrangements. However, I will do my best to accommodate last-minute requests if my schedule permits.

Do you shoot alone, or do you bring a second photographer?

For half-day weddings, it’s just me. For full-day weddings, I bring a second photographer with whom I’ve worked for years. This ensures we capture both sides of the story, from start to finish, without missing a moment.

Will you visit the venue before the wedding day?

Yes, and ideally with you!

UK-Where possible, I will always aim to meet the couple at least a month or so before at the venue.

Europe/Worldwide- I typically arrive one or two days before the wedding (unless long haul) to scout the location, assess the lighting, and identify the best spots for photos.

I find meeting at the venue allows us to walk through the day together, finalise timings (since they often change), and even take some pre-wedding portraiture.

What happens if there's bad weather on the wedding day?

I’m always prepared for unpredictable weather. I bring the necessary equipment to handle various conditions and scout backup locations at the venue if adjustments are needed. Rain or shine, I’ll ensure your day is beautifully documented.

How long does it take to receive our photos?

The editing process takes around 4-6 weeks. I take great care in editing each image to truly capture the essence of your day. I also provide a sneak peek gallery within a day or two after the wedding, so you can enjoy a few highlights while waiting for the full gallery.

Do you provide albums or prints, or just digital images?

Detailed within packages costs.

It’s super simple! I don’t limit the number of photos we send you and during editing, we remove duplicates and any unflattering shots (like closed eyes), leaving you with a stunning collection of moments from your big day. These images are uploaded to an online gallery, and we’ll provide you with a link to access it.

From there, you can browse, download your favourites, and even remove any images if you prefer and you can also share the link with your friends and family, making it easy for everyone to relive the memories.

The gallery includes an online ordering feature, allowing guests to purchase prints directly and for couples who book the full-day package, the gallery is also where you’ll select your 100 favourite photos, which will be beautifully showcased in your wedding album.

How do you handle communication and planning from a distance?

I stay in close contact via email, phone, or video calls to ensure every detail is covered well in advance. I’m flexible with time zones and make it a priority to understand your vision, preferences, and timeline before the wedding day.

What if the wedding date changes or gets postponed?

If the date changes, I’ll do my best to accommodate the new date based on availability. I also recommend couples consider travel insurance, especially for destination weddings, to cover any unforeseen changes.

What deposit do you require?

I require a 25% deposit based on the package you choose. The remaining balance can be paid in instalments over an agreed-upon period, as long as the full amount is settled one month before your wedding day.

We hate having our pictures taken. How do you handle that?

You’re not alone! Many couples feel this way, and as part of my degree, I studied the psychology of people in photography. I also hate having my picture taken, so I completely understand! I use techniques to make sure you’re relaxed and comfortable—no awkward posing or forced smiles. I’ll keep you at ease, sometimes using distraction techniques, so the process feels natural and fun

Do we need to feed you?

For a full-day wedding, yes, it’s appreciated if you can provide a meal for myself and my second photographer. For half-day weddings, it’s not necessary, though I wouldn’t say no to a spare canapé if one’s available!

How many weddings do you shoot per year?

I’ve scaled back in recent years to ensure I can offer a high level of service before, during, and after each wedding. I now typically take on 1-2 weddings per month, allowing me to maintain fast turnaround times and focus on delivering the best experience for each couple.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH OTHER EVENTS, LIKE REHEARSAL DINNERS OR POST-WEDDING BRUNCHES?

Can you add in, I’ve also been know to go on hen do and stag do’s.
